Nelson Mandela International Day (or Mandela Day)
is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, celebrated 
each year on 18 July, Mandela’s birthday. This year marks 100th anniversary of the birthday of Mr. Mandela. He spent 67 years of his life trying to bring together people around the world to fight poverty and promote peace, and cultural diversity. He fought for the ideas that are close to the heart of every JEFer. Nelson Mandela believed that through social change and volunteering, eeach single has the potential to change the world. It is something, what we also believe in. That’s why to commemorate this great man. JEF-NL and JEF Maastricht decided to join the celebrations.
